Trailer Insanity...

Hey guys, it's Donnie...About 400 trailers went online today but, to be honest, most of them are rather lackluster if I do say so myself. Underclassmen, Big Momma's House 2, Wolf Creek...bah, why do I care? There's a new comedy about waitstaff at a Shennangians (dooooh!) called Waiting...which doesn't look nearly as good as the cast they have assembled (Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long, Dane Cook, Anna Faris, David Koechner). It's probably a Netflixer.

So what's good? Well, first and foremost we have the theatrical trailer for Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, the latest stop-motion animated vision from the master himself. He filmed this thing simultaneously with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and both films star Senor Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and both were written by John August, one of my new favorite screenwriters. So that's pretty ridiculous...ridiculously AWESOME!! Click here and be amazed...

Next up is a very interesting little picture that I hadn't heard of prior to this week, The Exorcism Of Emily Rose. The creepy poster was release earlier this week. Seems this is actually based on a true story in which the Catholic Church officially recognized the demonic possession of a 19 year old college girl, Emily Rose. The film follows the trial of the priest who tried to help her, as well as Emily's possession. It features a fantastic cast including Tom Wilkenson, Laura Linney and a mustachioed Campbell Scott. Unfortunately it's only available in Flash, but I'll live with that for now. I was surprised that it actually looked to be not only kinda frightening but well shot and acted to boot. Click here for some devil love...
