Wolverine and The Batman Get All Magical...

Hey guys, it's Donnie...Way back in August, we reported that Chris Nolan was looking to bring the Christopher Priest book The Prestige to the big screen before he sets off on another Bat-Adventure. Well, it looks like serious progress has been made and he's got Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale in negotiations to play dueling magicians turned murderers at the turn of the century.

There's a big part of me that would rather see Nolan get cracking on the next Batman movie instead of futzing around with other movies first. However, if he's gonna do another film first, this sounds like a pretty fantastic way to go. That's just brilliant casting, and I'm sure Nolan is up to the challenge. Besides, if this is what he has to do to keep from getting burnt out on Gotham City, that's fine. I've always been a strong advocate of taking the time to get a movie done right instead of rushing them through half-ass. Still, it's sad to think we may have to wait till at least 2008 to get another Batmovie.
