Whedon Update: Serenity Trailer + Interview

No idea what I'm talking about?
Well today's your lucky day. I'm offering you the chance to get in on the ground floor so to speak on the world and works of the uber-talented Joss Whedon. This is the guy who not only masterminded some of the best television of the 1990's, but also had a hand in writing the scripts for more than a few just flat out great movies, including Speed and Toy Story. He's authored the critically acclaimed Astonishing X-Men comic series and he's about to make his feature film directorial debut with Serenity, the big-screen adaptation of his short-lived Sci-Fi/Western TV series Firefly. He'll follow that up by bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen. Whedon is right up there with Aaron Sorkin as one of the best dialogue men in the business. This guy has done it all, and he's some who's mere presence on a project immediately jumps my anticipation level about 400 points.

Once you've given that a read, you can CLICK IT HERE to see the full domestic trailer for Serenity. There's a good deal of stuff there from the teaser as well as the international trailer I put up a short while ago, but there's also some new stuff as well, including some great examples of Whedon's mastery of clever dialogue. And DON'T FORGET that Sci-Fi channel is airing all the episodes of Firefly in the proper order (something Fox never even did) every Friday night at 7/6C. Last week was the end of the two hour pilot, so if you start watching this week you'll be in a pretty good place to start. I devoured the entire series box set last semester, as did my roommate. He especially liked the theme song...
