The Coolest Project Ever...

Hey guys, it's Donnie...Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to do an animated series as well as a feature film based on the comic book Afro Samurai.

Let me say that again.

Samuel L. "Badass Mothafucka" Jackson is playng Afro Samurai.

I shouldn't even have to write anything else. That should be the end of the article right there, because nothing I say could possibly top that. Seriously, this is one of those things where you read it and instantly have one of two reactions:

a) Okay. Whatever.
or
b) HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT'S THE GREATEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD!!

Jackson had previously agreed to do a five part animated version that'll be playing on SpikeTV next year, but he'll now also be starring in and producing a feature film version of the highly regarded Japanese comic book character. Afro Samurai is a one man vortex of carnage on a quest to take down No. 1, a man known only as Justice, the man who killed Afro Samurai's father. There's an assortment of other characters, including a chain-smoking assasin who wears a teddy bear helmet. This thing is still in the fetal stage, but I'm gonna enjoy tracking this thing through to it's release.
