Wanna Be A Jarhead?

Hey guys, it's Donnie...Man I'm excited for this movie. For those who may not know, Jarhead is the next film by Sam Mendes, the incredible director behind American Beauty and Road To Perdition. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Chris Cooper and Jamie Foxx. (Don't listen to the hype, he did Stealth long before he got the Oscar. This is his first true follow up to Ray. In fact, he was in the middle of filming during the Oscars. Imagine walking onto THAT set the next day...) The film is the true story of Anthony Swofford and his experiences as a soldier in Saudia Arabia and Kuwait before and during the Desert Storm conflict

We still haven't seen much from this flick in the way of pictures or a trailer of any kind, but it comes out November 4, so I would expect to start seeing alot more promo stuff in the next month and a half or so. Today we got our first teaser poster, and it's pretty sweet. I've always been a fan of simple film posters. Single images like these usually compel me to check a movie out far more than a bunch of giant floating heads. Anyway, click on the image to see the nice big hi-res version over at BlackFilm.
