Cameron's Battle Angel Alita Coming Soon?
Hey guys, it's Donnie...One of my favorite parts of the new season of Entourage has been the ongoing Aquaman storyline, and while Mandy Moore is damn hot and I enjoy seeing her every week, the high point of the last few episodes has been the recurring appearances by James Cameron. Seeing him just pop up from time to time not only brings an immediate smile to my face, but it makes me anxious to see him come back to making real movies.
Well, ask and ye shall receive! Cameron told the website The Independent that his next project will definitely be the long rumored Battle Angel Alita, based on a Japanese graphic novel about cyborgs in the 26th century. Here's what Cameron has to say:

Well, ask and ye shall receive! Cameron told the website The Independent that his next project will definitely be the long rumored Battle Angel Alita, based on a Japanese graphic novel about cyborgs in the 26th century. Here's what Cameron has to say:
"It's going to be a mega-budget film shot in 3-D. It's set in a post-human world in the distant future, and a number of the main characters will be computer-generated. It's a kind of virtual film-making. We're building a whole new motion-capture technology. I'm impatient to get on with using the tools of the future."Yeah, I'd like this to start shooting tomorrow please. Seriously, how much longer are we gonna have to wait to get a real James Cameron movie instead of this underwater documentary shit. Granted, it's pretty, and it's certainly fun to watch in the right frame of mind, but I still want to see old school Cameron, the guy who can kick my cinematic ass to the curb without breaking a sweat. And in 3D? I'm still hopeful for the 3D revolution, and if it's gonna happen, he's gonna be a big part of pulling it off...
"The main thrust is a love story between a human man and a female cyborg, and the film contains a range of characters from the fully human to the fully machine. I'm embracing the fact that human beings are amazingly adaptable. We've got a lot of flaws, but we're also pretty clever. We've got the tools, but can we use them?"
